My brothers are working at getting their summer job off to a good start.  Their job is a little business they started together when they were in high school.  They made money over the summer by cutting grass, cleaning out attics, and doing some power washing for different people.  Their little summer business has grown over the two years since they started.  I was listening to them telling Granddad all about their plans for getting business starting this spring and on into the summer.  They were talking to Granddad while they were watching the Phoenix Suns on TV.  Granddad is the inspiration behind a lot of what the boys do to earn money during their summer vacations.  He does not believe in young people being idle and wasting valuable time by lying around and watching TV or sleeping the day away.  He has always told his sons not to rest on their laurels.  He instilled in his own sons the importance of working for themselves and started them off at an early age.  Now, his grandsons are very fascinated to learn about making their own money.  They are learning to save it too, or the biggest portion of it anyway.
